Lois M. Youngblood was the third child of James Thomas Youngblood and Lizzie Malloy. I know little about her childhood as she rarely spoke about it. She did speak of picking cotton and of one Christmas when she received a doll only to have it disappear sometime that night, never to be seen of or spoken of again.

Lois went west (California) with some friends sometime in the late 1930's or early 1940's. She was a beautiful lady and was offered a screen test in Hollywood but chose to marry Jack Peterson in 1942. They had 3 children (all girls), loosing one to "croop". Jack and Lois were divorced in 1963.

Lois married and divorced a second time with no children from that marriage. She married a third time in 1973 and was later widowed in 1983.

Lois passed away in California on 6/29/1996 at 78 years old. She was survived by 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom live in California or Oregon.
