The 22nd Annual Youngblood Reunion was held Sept. 10th & 11th at the Sportsman’s Center in Blue Eye, MO., with an outstanding turnout and many new kinfolks joining the festivities, this year. As always, the cemetery tour on Saturday was the hi-light of the day and enjoyed by all. On Sunday, Ertie Youngbloood gave the blessing followed by the pot-luck dinner, after which we were treated to some really superb music by the Country Harmony Band. Our warmest thanks for their providing such great entertainment! Linda Helton was the winner of the beautiful quilt made and donated by Ethel Gardner. Bill (Morris) Youngblood claimed title to being the oldest attending, while Angelo Zissimos Typaldos was the youngest, at age 8 months. A tie was called between the Dave Kirbys of Westwood, CA and the Elmer Youngbloods of Riverbank, CA for those traveling the furtherest. Thanks to all who brought items for the auction ~ and to our auctioneer, Sonny King, who makes it so much fun. If you didn't get one of the great reunion t-shirts made by Larry Youngblood, there are still some available.
